First Up Cleaning Services technician cleaning a NYC apartment living room

First Up Cleaning Services provides standard, deep, and move-in/move-out home cleaning across New York City and Nassau County — this page contains the actual, room-by-room checklists their supervisors verify on every visit. Standard cleaning is recommended for homes professionally cleaned within the last 30–60 days; deep cleaning resets homes not professionally cleaned in 60 days or more; move-in/move-out cleaning brings empty spaces to inspection-ready standard.

Descriptions of Home Cleaning Services

This isn't a buyer's guide — it's the actual checklist our supervisors verify, visit after visit.

Which Type of House Cleaning Service Do You Need?

Not all types of house cleaning services are built the same — and picking the right one comes down to timing. If your home's been professionally cleaned in the last 30–60 days, standard cleaning keeps it that way. If it's been longer than that — or you're handing off an empty apartment — deep cleaning or move-in/move-out cleaning resets it properly.

Standard Cleaning

For homes cleaned within the last 30–60 days

A standard house cleaning is built for upkeep — here's exactly what's covered, room by room.

Living & Sleeping Areas: trash emptied, all flat surfaces dusted, floors vacuumed/swept/mopped, mirrors cleaned, window sills wiped, vents and baseboards dusted, closet floors cleaned, cobwebs removed.

Bathrooms: showers and tubs cleaned and disinfected, tile walls disinfected, toilets cleaned base to bowl, vanity and sink disinfected, floors washed, mirrors and fixtures shined.

Kitchen: range hood exterior, oven top and front, fridge and dishwasher fronts, countertops, cabinet exteriors, sinks cleaned and disinfected, floors swept and mopped.

This is the list our cleaner works from in your home — not a summary of it.

Deep Cleaning

Recommended after 60+ days without a professional clean

Living & Sleeping Areas: Everything in standard cleaning, plus — mop/vacuum under beds, wastebaskets sanitized, lampshades and light fixtures dusted and wiped down, under carpet edges vacuumed, ceiling fan dusted and wiped, furniture wiped and vacuumed, blinds dusted, detailed dusting around items.

Bathrooms: Everything in standard cleaning, plus — grout and tile detail scrubbing, mildew treatment, shower door and track detail work, baseboards wiped, exhaust fan dusted.

Kitchen: Everything in standard cleaning, plus — inside range hood cleaned, behind and around appliances where accessible, cabinet fronts detailed, baseboards wiped.

This is the same "cracks and crevices, hard-to-reach places" work our customers mention in their reviews — because that's what's on the list.

Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning

Inspection-ready, every time

This one matters most when there's something riding on the result — a security deposit, a landlord walkthrough, a new home you want spotless before your first night in it. A quick broom clean isn't the same as an empty apartment brought to full inspection-ready standard — every surface, not just the visible ones. If cabinets, walls, inside oven, or inside fridge have built-on grime, scuffs, or marks, please order additional services to ensure proper cleaning.

Living & Sleeping Areas: Full empty-room cleaning — inside every empty closet, baseboards and window sills wiped, floors vacuumed and mopped, all surfaces sanitized.

Bathrooms: Complete sanitization of showers, tubs, toilets, and vanities, inside empty cabinets, floors washed and disinfected.

Kitchen: Wipe inside every empty cabinet and drawer. Wipe inside oven and fridge if left in unit, countertops and all surfaces sanitized, floors washed.

Available for renters, homeowners, and landlords across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Nassau County.

How Often Should You Book?

Cleaning living spaces and bathrooms often, and staying on top of basic maintenance? Monthly is enough. Busy schedule, high foot traffic at home, not much bandwidth for upkeep? Weekly keeps things consistently clean. Somewhere in between? Bi-weekly is the sweet spot most clients land on.

Why book on a recurring schedule instead of one-time?

  • Reduces the spread of germs between visits
  • Lower per-visit pricing than one-time service
  • Fewer costly deep cleans needed over time
  • A more consistently clean home, all the time

Home Cleaning Service Questions

What's the difference between standard and deep cleaning?

Standard is upkeep — for homes cleaned in the last 30–60 days. Deep cleaning is the reset: under beds, ceiling fans, blinds, mildew treatment, and the buildup standard cleaning doesn't reach. Recommended after 60+ days.

Do you offer move-in/move-out cleaning for co-ops and rentals?

Yes — full empty-space cleaning brought to inspection-ready standard, across all five boroughs we serve plus Nassau County.

How much does house cleaning cost?

Pricing depends on your home size and the type of service — standard, deep, or move-in/move-out. New customers get 15% off their first booking, and Klarna is available if you'd rather split it up. Use our online booking tool for current, exact pricing before you confirm anything.

What does house cleaning actually include?

Standard cleaning covers all main living areas, bathrooms, and kitchen surfaces. Deep cleaning adds hard-to-reach spots like under furniture, ceiling fans, and grout detail. Move-in/move-out cleaning covers every empty cabinet, closet, and surface for a full inspection-ready reset. Full room-by-room checklists for each are listed above.

Background-checked, bonded, and insured. Certified through IJCSA, ISSA, P&G Professional, IEHA, and OSHA.
